WTF: Add Meals to Your Grocery List
Happy Taco Tuesday (a day late…)
I apologize for getting this out late. Things have been super busy, and I just never got around to it.
Welcome to all of our new Taco Tuesday members! Thank you for trying Taco Tuesday. If you have any problems or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to me directly at patw@tacotuesdayapp.com.
Each week, usually on a Tuesday, I like to send a quick newsletter highlighting a feature of Taco Tuesday. The newsletter is called “What’s That Feature,” or WTF for short.
(I need to step up my newsletter game since my mom is reading this…. Hi, Mom!)
This week’s feature is a staple of the app: Add Meals to List.
When you make a meal plan in Taco Tuesday, the app keeps track of all the ingredients for each recipe, based on the number of servings you choose. When it’s time to put your grocery list together, press Add Meals to List and the app will ask you which dates you’d like to use to populate your grocery list. It will then calculate how much of each item you need.
There are some other neat features that you may not consider:
If multiple recipes need the same ingredient, let’s say chicken, Taco Tuesday will combine the totals for each recipe and present it as one item on the grocery list. It will also show both recipe names under the item, so you know you’re buying chicken for two recipes.
If you make your grocery list and then change your meal plan, you can go back and load the meals again. Taco Tuesday will know which recipes to keep and which recipes to remove when calculating your grocery items, so you don’t need to start over.
Thats all for this week!
Keep an eye on my socials for other hints and tricks. Please share Taco Tuesday with your friends….and your enemies, too. Why not?
